Military Law
Our team of experienced attorneys available to assist you includes:
Lieutenant Colonel (NYARNG) Mathew B. Tully
Former Captain Greg Rinckey
Colonel (Ret.) Christopher Graham
Colonel (Ret.) Lisa M. Windsor
Our Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned law firm was founded by Mathew B. Tully, a Lieutenant Colonel in the New York Army National Guard who has stepped away from his legal career twice in recent years for deployments to Egypt and Iraq. He understands what it means to be a service member and has built a military law firm that has fought on behalf of those who serve in the United States military on thousands of occasions. In addition to Lieutenant Colonel Tully, our military law team includes former JAG attorneys such as Managing Partner Greg T. Rinckey, along with Christopher Graham and Lisa M. Windsor, both of whom are of Counsel.
We were soldiers long before we became attorneys and are ready to serve you with a combined 150 years of military service and law experience. We’ve been to war, we’ve led troops, and we understand the pride and pressure that only a service member knows. Our military experience is what makes us effective military lawyers today. We began our education in the field, not a law class. We can communicate with military personnel and gain respect in military courts because we’ve been on the other side. We know the military, we know the law, and we’re ready to fight hard on behalf of our military clients.
We are equipped to handle military law issues of any magnitude for military personnel located around the world. Our current roster of clients resides in places across the country as well as foreign locations such as Afghanistan, Iraq and beyond. Our military lawyers travel around the globe to represent clients in addition to working by telephone and through videoconferencing. We’re not intimidated by complicated matters, remote locations or difficult cases.
Our military lawyers are available to provide counsel on the full range of issues faced by service members around the world, including:
AWOL/Military Deserter – We are able to work with any and all military personnel who are facing desertion or AWOL charges, ranging from several days to several years. We understand the military system and will work with command to resolve your issue.
Court-Martial – We represent clients worldwide during courts-martial involving alleged violation of drug use, assault and battery, shaken baby syndrome, sex crimes, adultery and computer crimes, just to name a few. Our military lawyers are able to apply the knowledge and attention necessary during courts-martial to provide sound representation to clients facing serious charges.
Article 15 – We represent military clients from all service branches in non-judicial punishment proceedings – referred to as Article 15, NJP, office hours or captain’s mast. Our military lawyers understand the consequences of having a marked service record and will aggressively work on your behalf at any non-judicial punishment hearing.
Article 32 – We provide vigorous representation during Article 32 hearings. Our military lawyers use each hearing as an opportunity to challenge the prosecution, examine evidence and strategize should a case be referred to a court-martial.
Correction of Military Records– We work with clients from all service branches to correct errors and remove injustices from their service records. Our military lawyers guide clients through the process of preparing documents and filing the application that can upgrade a discharge, remove reprimand letters and change discharge reasons.
Our attorneys are also available to assist you in your disability rating or in cases where injury took place while in the care of a VA medical facility. To learn more about suing the Department of Veterans Affairs due to injury, download Tully Rinckey’s free guide.
General Officer Representation – We represent clients being subject to Inspector General Investigations, congressional investigations and confirmation battles. Our team of military lawyers works diligently on behalf of our clients as opposed to a staff JAG, who represents the government, or a Department of Defense representative, who answers to the DoD.
ROTC and Military Academy Disenrollment – We have experience representing clients facing a disenrollment hearing. Our military lawyers – many of whom are ROTC graduates – know the system and are well-versed in Academy and ROTC disenrollment law.
If you are facing a military criminal law issue of any kind, our lawyers can provide counsel in your time of legal need.
Contact us today to speak with an attorney. We can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 703-525-4700 or via email at info@fedattorney.com
